PUBLIC RELATIONS

I'm Emma, an aspiring public relations professional based in Syracuse, New York.

I've been interested in and inspired by beauty and fashion since I was a little girl. Now, I’m passionate about storytelling that helps my favorite brands make an impact.

  • I've always been a writer. What started as a personal blog in elementary school grew into a genuine passion for writing. Finding the balance between personality and precision is incredibly important in public relations, and one of the things I excel at.

That foundation has carried into my PR writing, where I've developed skills in press releases, CEO messaging, pitch emails, media advisories, and fact sheets. View examples of my work here.

  • I can't imagine a world without social media, and as both a creator and a constant user, I understand what makes content actually stop the scroll. Crafting posts rooted in strategy is one of the most direct ways to reach and grow an audience.

Whether I'm building a content calendar from scratch or curating content that fits a brand's personality, I'm focused on outreach and building a real community. I bring experience from my work with Café Sankofa and Derry Presbyterian Church.

  • Strategy without research is just guesswork. Through a semester long research project analyzing the Hockey Diversity Alliance communication strategies, I'm certified in Brandwatch and have hands-on experience with Google Analytics and SPSS. Learning to turn data into actionable insight has shaped how I approach projects, such as developing a social media strategy for Derry Presbyterian Church. Explore my work here.

  • Art has always been an outlet for me, and graphic design is where that creativity feels most at home. Visual communication is just as strategic as any written message, and knowing how to craft one is something I take seriously. From Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Express, and Premiere, to Canva and Figma, I have the range to work across formats and platforms. Explore my work here.
